I — Gift of the Beloved: Beethoven,
Göethe & the Persian Sufi Master, Hafiz
with Elizabeth Mansfield, actress
Göethe's last
great poem, the Divan of West
and East,
was inspired by the Divan of 14th century Sufi master, Hafiz, was among Beethoven’s
most beloved verse. In Wine
of the Beloved, the music of
Beethoven’s Opus 70 Trios is intertwined with the words of Göethe,
in glorious celebration of love, faith, and the joy of life.
