The renowned musicologist, author, and
composer, Robert Greenberg, discusses the works with ASQ on stage for
musical
illustrations, followed by a complete performance of each work.
These
programs have been performed to sold-out audiences for seven
consecutive
seasons by San Francisco Performances. Other performances are
scheduled
or have taken place in Merkin Concert Hall in New York, for the
University
of California at Santa Cruz, and at Mondavi Center at the University
California
at Davis, which will presents the complete Shostakovich cycle in the
2002-2003,
2003-2004, and 2004-2005 seasons.
